Hotel Maintenance Technician

Location: Binghamton, NY
Pay: Around $20 (based on experience)
Schedule:

• 5 days per week with 7-day availability required
• Shifts are either 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day operations and ensure a safe, comfortable experience for our guests. This role is hands-on and guest-facing, requiring strong troubleshooting skills, professionalism, and a team-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel, including guest rooms and common areas
• Troubleshoot and repair minor issues such as:
  • TV or remote not working
  • Tripped breakers or minor electrical issues
  • Windows that won’t open or close properly
  • Leaky showers or faucets
  • Toilet repairs and basic plumbing needs
• Respond to maintenance requests while guests are checked in, providing courteous and respectful service
• Communicate clearly with guests regarding issues and resolutions
• Work collaboratively with other departments
  • Assist with tasks such as delivering towels or supporting other operational needs when no maintenance work orders are pending
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in building maintenance, carpentry, construction, or handyman work
• Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and general repair tasks
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills
• Comfortable interacting directly with hotel guests in a professional manner
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team-oriented environment
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
