POSITION INFORMATION:

 

• Position Name: Dock Lead
• Rate of Pay: $20.00 / hour
• Shift Details: Monday - Friday 6:00 am – 2:40 pm

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead dock operations including paperwork, manpower, packing, and wrapping of all outgoing customer orders.
• Assure all orders are picked to set fill rate guidelines.
• Assign Dock duties and oversee their progress.
• Train and integrate new workers.
• Investigate picking overages and shortages.
• Aids in receiving and putting away of product.
• Perform cycle counts as necessary.
• Keeps Warehouse Supervisor/Managers apprised of daily operations.
• Will work independently, while directly reporting and working in conjunction with the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager.
• Ensure dock goals are accomplished.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness.
• Assist with routine dock activity when needed including operation of pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, turret trucks, and other power equipment.
• Ensure industry rules and regulations are followed.
• Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Flexible, willing to accept new responsibilities and shift changes depending on changing needs.
• Must be able to speak, read, and communicate in English
• Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well within a team.
• Ability to multi-task while prioritizing and executing tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organization, communication, and follow-up skills.
• Strong detailed understanding to accurately audit and pack orders.
• Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to operate warehouse material handling equipment.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS and PHYSICAL EFFORT:

• Ability to lift, lower, carry product up to a maximum of 50 pounds
• Wear safety attire when in the warehouse such as steel-toe boots
• Work on your feet all day in non-climate-controlled environment
• Exposure to some physical risk
• May be exposed to distracting sounds or noise levels
