Full-Time | Tool and Die Maker

Location: 205-7 Hillside Avenue, Suite 11 Hollis, NY 11423

We are currently seeking experienced Tool and Die Makers for a full-time opportunity with a leading precision metal manufacturing operation. This role involves working with thin- to medium-gauge metals to produce highly intricate stamped components used across industries such as electronics, military, medical, aerospace, and automotive.

This is an excellent opportunity for skilled professionals looking to expand their capabilities in a collaborative, high-precision environment. Candidates will work on progressive, Multi-Slide (Fourslide), and transfer (eyelet) press operations. Apprentices are also encouraged to apply.

Job Responsibilities

• Construct, modify, and repair tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges to close tolerances
• Set up and operate machine tools including lathes, milling machines, shapers, and grinders
• Interpret engineering blueprints, specifications, and tool orders
• Create preliminary sketches and detailed layouts
• Develop efficient machining strategies for die fabrication
• Meet quality and production standards
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area

Qualifications

• High school diploma or vocational training required; apprenticeship completion preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience
• Ability to read and write in English
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and shop math (geometry and trigonometry)
• Experience working with tight tolerances and precision measuring instruments
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently
• Knowledge of machine shop practices and operations
