Key Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts safely to load and unload semi-trucks and trailers
• Coordinate and supervise daily yard activities and workflow
• Lead and support a team of 3–6 employees, ensuring productivity and safety
• Assist with inventory management, including identifying products, parts, and materials using product codes or labels
• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality
• Track and report key performance metrics related to productivity, efficiency, and inventory accuracy
• Utilize basic computer programs (including Microsoft Excel) to log data, track performance, and maintain records
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe yard environment
• Communicate effectively with team members and management
• Adapt to different teams or responsibilities as operational needs change
• Enforce company policies and safety procedures

Qualifications:

• Valid forklift certification (required)
• Proven experience loading and unloading semi-trucks using a forklift
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience (managing 3–6 employees preferred)
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Excel or similar programs
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to identify materials, parts, or products using codes, labels, or descriptions
• Flexible and dependable with the ability to switch between tasks and teams
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus, but not required

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50+ lbs
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Standing, walking, and operating machinery for extended periods
