Express Employment Professionals is seeking a motivated Equipment Technician to support a respected equipment rental and service operation located in Tonawanda, NY. This role is ideal for someone with basic mechanical aptitude who is ready to grow, learn, and take on hands-on repair and maintenance responsibilities in a fast-paced shop environment.

Shift: 1st shift 7:30am-4:00pm Monday - Friday

 

Payrate: $18-22/hr

Job Description:

• Inspect returned rental equipment, document condition, and identify needed repairs.
• Troubleshoot equipment using repair tags, service notes, and direction from service leadership.
• Perform maintenance and basic repairs/diagnostics in a timely and accurate manner.
• Communicate repair issues or concerns to the Service Manager, including detailed descriptions and recommended solutions.
• Conduct full post-repair inspections to ensure equipment is safe, clean, properly labeled, and rent-ready.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment; follow all safety rules and use proper PPE.
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and gather relevant data.
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and diagrams as needed.
• Participate in internal and vendor-provided training.
• Contribute positively to the overall customer and service experience.

Requirements:

• Mechanic experience (auto or otherwise) required
• Ability to perform maintenance and basic repairs
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and understand technical documents, schematics, and diagrams.
