Inside Sales Representative/Estimator Job Summary

A manufacturing organization in Kentwood, MI is seeking an Inside Sales Representative/Estimator to support customer quoting, order development, and sales growth across a diverse product line. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and timely quotes based on customer requirements, collaborating with internal teams to ensure technical and commercial accuracy, and identifying opportunities to expand customer solutions across multiple product brands. The position plays a key role in building strong customer relationships and supporting overall revenue growth through responsive and solution-oriented service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, verify, and finalize accurate quote packages for customer submission
• Interpret customer requests, drawings, and specifications to develop appropriate product solutions
• Collaborate with Engineering, Planning, and Scheduling teams to confirm technical requirements, lead times, and production feasibility
• Communicate expedites and delivery expectations based on internal production timelines
• Submit RFQs to channel partners when required and coordinate cross-channel quoting activity
• Quote a full range of products including steel and composite pipe, valves, pumps, and related industrial components
• Identify opportunities to incorporate additional product lines and brands into customer quotes to support business growth
• Maintain knowledge of corrosion-related industry applications, requirements, and best practices for material handling and safety
• Initiate RMA and credit memo processes in accordance with standard operating procedures
• Utilize systems such as Epicor/Kinetics, Salesforce, Outlook, and other internal tools to manage quoting and customer information
• Support general customer service functions as needed and maintain strong ongoing customer relationships

• Compensation: $60,000 – $65,000 (based on experience)

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and customer specifications
• Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and production teams
• Proficiency with business systems such as CRM and ERP platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Epicor/Kinetics)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple quotes and deadlines simultaneously
• Effective written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

• Familiarity with corrosion-related industries and industrial manufacturing applications
• Experience with industrial components such as piping systems, valves, and pumps
