Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cherry Picker Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating cherry pickers and other heavy equipment to efficiently manage order picking, loading, and unloading activities. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, materials handling, and safety protocols to ensure smooth and secure warehouse functions. Prior experience with warehouse management systems, RF scanners, and OSHA standards is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate cherry pickers, Reach Truck forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment to move materials within the warehouse.
• Perform order picking using RF scanners and warehouse management systems to fulfill shipping and receiving requirements.
• Load and unload goods from trucks, ensuring proper handling and stacking of materials.
• Assist with inventory management by accurately tracking items using warehouse systems.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safety and proper functioning; report any maintenance issues.
• Follow OSHA safety standards and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Support warehouse distribution activities including shipping, receiving, and materials handling tasks.
• Collaborate with team members and warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow efficiency.

Skills

• Proven experience operating cherry pickers, forklifts, crane equipment, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks in a warehouse setting.
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation and materials handling procedures.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for order picking and inventory control.
• Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of OSHA safety regulations applicable to warehouse operations.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in shipping & receiving processes including load & unload activities.
