Salary: $22/hr - $25/hr

Encapsulation Operator ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Setup/operate manual encapsulation machine
• Verify the correct blend, capsule size and origin are utilized
• Feed material into hopper at the start up and throughout the duration of the run
• Submit samples to QC for approval
• Maintain weight control, closing station, empty capsule magazine and capsule polisher during operation
• Any deviation of weight, improper sealing or other job function is to be reported immediately to the manufacturing lead or supervisor
• Responsible for in process logs and machine down time
• Must remain at machine at all times during machine operation
• Responsible for machine routine maintenance and clearing by following SOP instructions
• Responsible for in process sampling requirements
• Insure all drums are properly labeled
• Insure work area is clean and maintained in a c GMP environment
• Insure equipment usage and room logs are properly maintained
• Other duties as assigned

Encapsulation Operator REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

Encapsulation Operator Critical Operating Relationships:

• Reports to the Manufacturing Manager. Has close relationships with QC, QA, Product Development, and Maintenance.

Encapsulation Operator QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED

Encapsulation Operator Experience:

• Manufacturing of solid dosage or pharmaceutical experience preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Must be able to move 50lbs
• Must be able to bend, stretch and stand for extended periods of time during shift
• Must have good oral communication skills to be able to complete work assignments as instructed
• Must be able to understand written and verbal instructions in English.
• Well skilled in mathematical calculations
