Material Handler – Building Supplies

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Material Handler to join our client’s saw shop team. This position is perfect for someone who doesn’t mind heavy lifting, getting their hands dirty, and wants to join a great company long term!

Material Handler Job Highlights:

• Full-time, 2^nd shift position: 3:00pm-1:00am Monday-Thursday with OT on Fridays
• Pay: $18-21 per hour, depending on experience

Material Handler Job Duties:

• Lift, carry, and load raw wood boards and panels into automatic saws by hand
• Catch and stack finished wood products at the end of the line
• Set up and program the computerized saw, with training provided
• Utilize electric and manual pallet jacks and other equipment to move products to and from the production floor
• Follow blueprints and work orders for machine setup

Material Handler Job Requirements:

• Prior material handling experience preferred
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience required
• Basic math and computer skills are required

Physical Requirements:

• Able to regularly lift up to 50lbs
• Bend, twist, squat, reach, push, and pull for the duration of the shift
• Able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
• Some outdoor exposure – rain, snow, or sunshine!
