Skills & Qualifications 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

• Must be familiar with tools applicable to position

• janitorial aptitude and working knowledge of tools

• Extensive knowledge of janitorial equipment 

• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills

Responsibilities: 

• Cleaning floors, windows, mirrors, walls and other frequently used surfaces
• Emptying trash cans and recycling bins
• Sanitizing bathrooms and other areas, such as classrooms or office workspaces
• Restocking essential facility supplies, such as toilet paper and hand soap
• Performing minor repairs, such as replacing light bulbs or tightening handrails
• Keeping janitorial equipment, such as floor buffers and vacuums, in good condition
• Securing a facility once maintenance tasks are complete
• Utilize various cleaning products to ensure proper disinfection and sanitation of designated facilities.
• Observe proper federal laws concerning proper handling and storage of graded disinfectants. 
• Review Safety Data Sheets to apply safety precautions when utilizing graded disinfectants.
• Track inventory supplies
