Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Slitter Operator to join our client's production team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining slitting machines to convert large rolls of material into smaller, customer-specified sizes. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate slitting machines according to job specifications
• Read and interpret work orders, production schedules, and quality standards
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality requirements
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
• Maintain accurate production and quality records
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Keep work area clean and organized

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous experience operating slitting or similar converting equipment preferred
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read measurements and use precision tools
• Basic math and computer skills
• Ability to lift up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs]

and stand for extended periods

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Skills

• Experience in manufacturing, packaging, or converting industries
• Familiarity with different materials (paper, film, foil, etc.)
• Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
