Express is looking for a Purchasing Agent for one of our great manufacturing clients in the Valdosta area.

 

Purchasing Agent Responsibilities:

  • Source, negotiate, and purchase materials, components, and services to support manufacturing operations
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, lead times, and contracts with suppliers to ensure best total cost
  • Create, process, and maintain purchase orders with a high level of accuracy
  • Perform a significant amount of data entry in purchasing and ERP systems
  • Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and quality
  • High attention to detail with strong data entry and system accuracy skills
  • Work closely with production, planning, and supply chain teams to meet manufacturing schedules
  • Analyze purchasing and inventory data to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Resolve supply issues and identify alternate suppliers as needed

 Schedule & Pay:

  • Monday – Friday
  • 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Pay: $25/hr

Senior Buyer Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of purchasing or buyer experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven negotiation skills with suppliers and vendors
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes (procurement, inventory, lead times)
  • Experience working with ERP or purchasing systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic business software
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
