Express Pros of West Seneca has partnered with a local company in the East Aurora area to fill an immediate need for CNC Programmer position.

 

Key Responsibilities

Create and modify CNC programs (G-code, M-code) for lathe machines
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models
Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for materials
Set up CNC lathes and perform initial test runs
Optimize programs to reduce cycle time and improve quality
Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust programs as needed

Ensure parts meet specifications using precision measuring tools
Maintain documentation of programs and machining processes
Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality teams
Follow safety and quality standards

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proficiency in CNC programming (G-code/M-code)
Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
Experience with CNC lathe setup and operation
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360)
Knowledge of materials (metals, plastics, alloys)
Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
Basic math and geometry skills

 

Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED (required)
Technical certification or associate degree in machining/manufacturing (preferred)
2–5+ years of CNC lathe programming or machining experience

Work Environment
Manufacturing or machine shop setting
Exposure to machinery, noise, and metalworking fluids
May require standing for long periods and lifting materials
