We are seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and maintenance expertise to ensure the optimal operation of industrial equipment and systems. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where technical proficiency and problem-solving skills are essential for maintaining production efficiency and safety.

Monday-Friday Rotation shifts:

Day 7-3pm, Afternoon 3pm-11pm, Nights 11pm-7am

Pay: $43.41/hour (negotiable based on experience)

Duties

• Repair/troubleshoot mechanical failures to all plant equipment, including corrugator, slitter, boiler, strapper, conveyors, compressors, etc.
• Maintain regular lubrication to all equipment.
• Perform minor electrical repairs which may include reading electrical schematics.
• Complete repairs in an efficient and safe manner with an acceptable level of competence and quality of workmanship.
• Repair forklifts of normal problems, including hydraulics, transmission leaks, fuel problems, starting problems, general lubrication, etc.
• Ensure shop is kept clean and safe and good housekeeping is maintained in all work areas.
• Operate water separator unit and test and record Ph level on discharge water.
• Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CMMS software to schedule maintenance tasks and document repairs
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment status
• Assist with installation, calibration, and testing of new machinery or upgrades
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
• Collaborate with production staff to minimize downtime and improve system reliability
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives related to industrial maintenance processes

Qualifications

• Proven experience in industrial maintenance within manufacturing environments with 433A license
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience, including low voltage systems
• Familiar with boiler room operation.
• Perform and record daily water tests.
• Monitor related equipment such as feed pumps, dearator and HP receiver tanks, etc.
• Repair steam related items such as pipes, rotary steam joints, pumps, etc.
• Properly complete Engineer's Logbook.
• Familiarity with schematics, CMMS software, and analysis techniques for troubleshooting complex issues
• Ability to read technical schematics and perform detailed analysis of machinery problems
• Excellent communication skills in English for effective teamwork and documentation purposes
• Demonstrated customer service orientation when interacting with internal teams or external vendors
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze issues quickly and implement effective solutions
