Machinist

Located in Brownsville, TX

1st shift - 7am to 3pm   $10

2nd shift - 3pm to 11pm     $11

•  Operate a variety of machines including boring mills, drill presses, and milling machines
• Perform a wide range of machines, hand and bench operations
• read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• use basic mathematical calculations to complete machining tasks accurately
• work from sketches and verbal instructions as required
• set up machines independently and design or fabricate special adapters when necessary
• Use and calibrate handheld measuring tools such as measuring tapes, calipers and micrometers
• maintain accuracy and quality standards during all machining processes
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand numerical measurements
