Manual Machine Operator (Lathe, Mill, Grinder, Drill Press, Saw)

Location: Little Rock, AR
Pay Rate: $20–$25 per hour (DOE)

Job Description

Our staffing service is currently seeking experienced Manual Machine Operators for a client in the Little Rock area. This role involves operating a variety of manual machines to fabricate, modify, or repair metal and other materials while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual machines including lathe, mill, grinder, drill press, and saw
• Set up machines, select proper tooling, and adjust feeds and speeds
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
• Inspect finished parts using basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Maintain tight tolerances and meet quality requirements
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work areas clean and organized
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating manual machining equipment
• Ability to read blueprints and measure parts accurately
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Manufacturing or machine shop experience preferred

Schedule

• Day shift (overtime may be available depending on production needs)
