Travel: Up to 25% travel for U.S. trade shows and client visits

About the Role: We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer with experience in the steel industry to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong sales skills, working closely with our production team and clients to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients in the steel industry
• Interpret and understand blueprints and technical drawings to provide accurate solutions to client needs
• Lead sales negotiations and secure new contracts, ensuring customer satisfaction
• Collaborate closely with the production and operations teams to ensure project feasibility and timely delivery
• Attend trade shows and client meetings in the U.S. (up to 3–4 times annually)
• Provide technical expertise and product guidance to both clients and internal teams
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new business opportunities       

Qualifications:

• 2–3 years of experience in the steel industry or a related industrial sector
• Strong experience in blueprint reading and technical drawing interpretation
• Proven sales negotiation skills
• Managerial experience is both an asset and highly valued
• Ability to travel to the U.S. for trade shows and client meetings
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and technical acumen
