Mechanical Shop Technician – North Fort Worth, TX

An established company in North Fort Worth is hiring Mechanical Shop Technicians to join their team. This is a hands-on position working on large industrial gearboxes, similar to transmission or engine rebuild work. Ideal for candidates with automotive, diesel, or mechanical repair experience looking for steady hours and a long-term opportunity.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay: $19–$21/hr (based on experience; most candidates start between $19–$20)

Job Duties:

• Disassemble, clean, and rebuild gearboxes and mechanical components
• Inspect parts for wear or damage and document findings
• Replace components and reassemble units to spec
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
• Read and follow repair procedures and basic drawings
• Work with supervisors and team members to meet production goals
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements:

• 1–3+ years of mechanical or industrial repair experience
• Background in automotive, diesel, maintenance, or a similar field preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to read tape measures and basic blueprints
• Dependable and able to work a full-time schedule
