Freeze Dryer Technician. Upward Mobility with Well-Established Team.

Salary: $20.00-$24.00/hr

Job Summary: Express Employment Professionals in Bellingham is hiring a Freeze Dryer Technician for a busy food manufacturing company in Ferndale. This company operates a state-of-the-art drying system, is USDA Organic, maintains a strong “yes attitude,” and is focused on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role is responsible for operating freeze-drying equipment, ensuring product quality, and performing basic maintenance and troubleshooting to keep equipment running efficiently. The position is primarily in a control room with some time on the production floor.

 

The ideal candidate has 2 years of food manufacturing experience, is comfortable using Microsoft Office, and can work independently while contributing to a team. Strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret data and follow procedures are key to success in this role.

 

 

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 DOE with increase in pay after hired on

Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00 am- 6:00 pm or 6:00pm-6:00am

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Running the freeze-drying machinery
• Verifying product and lot numbers
• Loading trolleys of product into the freeze dry chambers
• Unloading trolleys after freeze drying process is complete
• Monitoring controls of the chambers while freeze drying process is in effect
• Performing daily, preventative, and routine maintenance on freeze drying and supporting equipment
• Complete and document paperwork of all repairs and maintenance on equipment
• Ensuring safe working conditions
