General Labor- Night

Located in Warren, MI

Salary: $17.50

Job Summary:
We are seeking a hardworking and safety-focused General Laborer to support operations in a recycling and scrap metal environment. This role involves sorting and processing a variety of recycled materials, operating equipment, and performing physical labor in an outdoor setting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with heavy materials, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort recycled materials and metals to identify high-grade metals and remove non-conforming items
• Process scrap metals using various tools and equipment
• Operate and maintain mobile equipment, including forklifts, skid steers, street sweepers, and water trucks
• Perform general labor tasks using hand tools such as torches, banders, and chop saws
• Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials throughout the yard
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following all safety procedures

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in recycling, waste, demolition, or similar environment preferred
• Experience operating forklifts and/or other construction equipment preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions around heavy and sharp materials

• Monday- Friday 5PM- 1:30AM
