HR Manager

 

Job Summary
The HR Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the organization’s human resources functions, including recruiting, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, compliance, training, and policy development. This role helps create a positive workplace culture, supports employee growth, and ensures HR practices align with business goals and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day human resources operations and serve as a point of contact for employee HR matters
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook updates
  • Oversee recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and offboarding processes
  • Support managers with performance management, coaching, disciplinary actions, and employee development
  • Administer employee benefits, leave programs, and HRIS records
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Handle employee relations issues with professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgment
  • Lead training and development initiatives to support employee engagement and organizational growth
  • Monitor compensation practices and assist with wage, salary, and incentive planning
  • Maintain accurate personnel files, reports, and required documentation
  • Partner with leadership to support workforce planning and organizational needs
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and productive workplace culture

Qualifications

  • 3–7+ years of human resources experience, with leadership or management experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/payroll systems
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred

Work Environment

Compensation and Benefits
