Our Pickering client, a leading manufacturer of industrial, specialty and transportation tanks and containers is looking for a Trimmer to join their dynamic team!

Responsibilities:

• 50% working in Trimming Department, 50% working in Oven Department
• Use hand and power tools to trim plastic tanks (drills, jigsaws, circular saws)
• Take products out of molds
• Fill/load molds with plastic powder
• Move tanks to different staging areas within facility
• Conduct quality control and inspect tanks to ensure quality of items produced
• Assist with other departments as needed (Shipping)
• Strict adherence to safety policies and guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

• 2-3 years of experience using hand and power tools (drills, circular saw, jigsaw)
• 1-2 years of experience in Production Assembly
• Must be mechanically inclined
• Physically fit, comfortable bending and standing for long periods
• Meticulous and detail-oriented
• Able to work independently and within a team setting
• Comfortable lifting 50lbs
• Safety shoes required

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience working with plastic molding (asset)
• Experience working in wood manufacturing environment (asset)
• Reliable, punctual, and hard-working
• Coachable, willing to learn, and have a positive attitude
• Shows initiative, dependable, and has great attendance

Compensation and Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 11:00am to 7:30pm
• Pay Rate: $21 per hour
