The Inventory Control Cycle Counter Position will manage the company cycle count process. Will be responsible for process improvement and overall accuracy pertaining to all company inventory within the facility. All cycle counts, processes and inventory records must be documented and maintained. Root-Cause analysis of errors and developing corrective action plans with various departments and managers to resolve the underlying issues will be a major focus. This position assists the warehouse operations team with miscellaneous stores / stockroom activities to maintain inventory accuracy through proper processing of material receipts, transfers, and issues.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

•  Performs scheduled cycle counts.
• Maintains clear, concise and detailed records of all counting activities. Must track and report on all discrepancies.
• Responsible for accuracy of inventory information and execution of adjustments based on physical verification and system research.
• Analyze inventory discrepancies by researching variances and identifying root cause and formulates recommendations for improvement to inventory accuracy. This includes, but not limited to, location variances, pick errors, receive / ship errors, transaction errors.
• Manages with assistance from warehouse staff conducting and recording location audit

 JOB KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS:

•  Requires a working knowledge of the company’s enterprise resource management system.
• Knowledge of inventory management practices.
• Must possess Microsoft Suite experience.
• Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with staff and management.
• Ability to safely and effectively operate industrial equipment including, but not limited to a forklift and pallet jack.
• The ability to assess a situation, draw a valid conclusion and make sound recommendations and decisions.
• Able to effectively use basic computer software systems.
• Team Player with ability to self-start and mult-task.
• Must be flexible and available to work overtime and weekends.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 75lbs on a regular, daily, but not constant basis.
• Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, lift, push, pull and move about the facility.
• Ability to safely and effectively operate industrial equipment inclusive of a forklift and/or pallet jack.

 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Requires a minimum of two (2) years previous experience working in a similar position dealing with inventory control and understanding of production, manufacturing and warehouse environments/tasks.
