Job Title: Inside Sales Representative

Position Summary:
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth by managing inbound and outbound sales activities, building strong customer relationships, and supporting outside sales efforts. This role requires excellent communication skills, product knowledge, and the ability to identify customer needs and deliver effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process inbound telephone orders by quoting product pricing, delivery specifications, and payment terms; recommend substitute or alternative products when appropriate.
  • Support outside sales representatives by prioritizing and processing urgent or high-value transactions.
  • Actively sell, market, promote, and demonstrate products to generate new business and expand relationships with existing customers.
  • Prospect and develop new accounts within an assigned geographic territory.
  • Identify and pursue product applications using internal expertise, vendor resources, and industry knowledge.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships by understanding customer operations, goals, and preferences.
  • Prepare and deliver product quotations; provide consistent follow-up throughout the customer purchasing cycle.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to support large customer projects and complex technical or automation initiatives.
  • Collect and report market intelligence, including competitor activity, pricing trends, product demand, and emerging opportunities.
  • Collaborate with management and vendors to plan, track, and implement sales strategies and develop new markets.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in inside sales, customer service, or account management preferred.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Technical aptitude and ability to understand and communicate product applications is a plus.
