Schedule:
12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Rotating schedule:

• Week 1: 3 days
• Week 2: 4 days

Position Overview:
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mining Technician in Pecos, TX. This position plays a key role in supporting data center operations, equipment maintenance, and system performance. The ideal candidate will be proactive, technically skilled, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Report project status, issues, and constraints; update and monitor Minder and JIRA systems
• Proactively monitor production systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability
• Provide remote hands support for other site locations as needed
• Perform preventive maintenance on data center equipment
• Rack and cable hardware including network switches, miners, PDUs (temperature and humidity sensors), servers, and network gear
• Install and connect power and network cabling (copper, fiber, etc.)
• Maintain accurate data center hardware maps and asset tracking records
• Provide intermediate troubleshooting for servers and network devices, including escalation when necessary
• Perform basic network troubleshooting (switch diagnostics, connectivity verification, Cat5/Cat6 termination repair)
• Maintain and update internal databases to ensure data accuracy
• Work alongside Level II technicians to develop skills in electrical troubleshooting, including PDUs and power distribution systems
• Assist with monitoring and maintaining electrical phase balancing for system efficiency and reliability
• Process Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) for hardware
• Assist with machine deployment (unboxing, racking, setup, etc.)
• Maintain professional and respectful communication with team members and leadership
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Technical or mechanical experience preferred
• Basic understanding of networking and hardware systems
• Ability to lift, move, and install equipment as needed
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to learn and grow in a technical environment
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule
