Salary: $25-$32/hr
Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for our Jamestown, NY client. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Construction Worker to oversee and coordinate construction activities on-site. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, hands-on construction experience, and a commitment to safety and quality. This role involves supervising crews, managing timelines, and ensuring that all work meets project specifications and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead construction crews on-site
- Interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
- Coordinate daily tasks and delegate responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Monitor progress and report updates to project managers
- Operate and maintain construction equipment and tools
- Train and mentor junior workers
- Communicate effectively with subcontractors and suppliers
- Troubleshoot issues and implement solutions to keep projects on track
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and using construction tools/equipment
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- OSHA certification is a plus
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions
- Standing, walking, and climbing for extended periods
Pay is based on experience between $25-$32 hr.
