Machine Operator

Located in Olympia, WA

Salary: $20-$25/HR

Express is now hiring for a local manufacturing company based out of Tumwater, WA. This is an evaluation-permanent opportunity. The schedule will be Monday-Friday from 6:00AM to 2:30PM. The compensation for this position will start at $20-$25/hr DOE. This company offers a benefits package to include Medical, Dental, Vision, paid holidays, 401K and vacation time

 

Job Duties:

• Operate CNC router to cut custom cabinet parts from plywood, MDF, and hardwood
• Run panel saw or beam saw to break down sheet goods accurately
• Set up and adjust machines based on job specs, drawings, and cut lists
• Load/unload materials safely and efficiently
• Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and cut sheets
• Input or load CNC programs (or verify preloaded programs)
• Select correct tooling, bits, and blades for each job
• Perform machine setup changes between custom orders

Job Requirements:

• 1–3+ years of experience in woodworking, cabinetry, or machine operation preferred
• Experience operating CNC routers, panel saws, or edge banding equipment strongly preferred
• Custom cabinet or millwork shop experience is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, cut sheets, and technical drawings
• Strong measurement skills (tape measure, calipers, fractions/decimals)
• Understanding of wood materials such as plywood, MDF, and hardwood
• Basic understanding of tooling (router bits, saw blades, etc.)
