Job Overview

Express Employment Professionals is seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics for an immediate opening in Midland, TX. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered equipment including generators, heavy equipment, compressors, pumps, and light towers. This is a high-hour opportunity with 60+ hours guaranteed per week for qualified candidates.

Equipment You Will Work On

•       Diesel engines — diagnosis, repair, and preventive maintenance

•       Generators — portable and stationary units

•       Heavy equipment — various makes and models used in oil field and construction

•       Compressors — air and gas compressor systems

•       Pumps — hydraulic, centrifugal, and positive displacement pumps

•       Light towers — maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting

Responsibilities

•       Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on diesel-powered equipment

•       Perform repairs, overhauls, and scheduled preventive maintenance

•       Inspect equipment and document findings accurately

•       Operate and test equipment after repairs to verify performance

•       Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

•       Follow all safety protocols including H2S procedures and site-specific requirements

Requirements

•       Minimum 1 year of verifiable diesel mechanic experience — required

•       Must own and provide personal mechanic tools — required

•       H2S certification — required prior to start date

•       Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

•       Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

•       Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and service documentation

•       Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in field and shop environments

•       Reliable transportation and availability Monday – Saturday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Compensation & Schedule

•       Pay Rate: $28.00 – $30.00+ per hour, depending on experience (DOE)

•       60+ hours guaranteed per week

•       Schedule: Monday – Saturday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
