1st Shift: 7am-3:30pm

Position Summary

The Assembler position performs repetitive bench or line assembly operations to produce products such as Pumps, Parts Washers, Coolant Systems, and Filters by performing the essential functions below.

 

Essential Functions

• Performs bench-type processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and subassemblies, using hand tools and electronic and pneumatic tooling.
• Places parts in specified relationship to each other.
• Bolts, clips, screws, cements, or otherwise fastens parts together.
• Wires and tests all units assembled for proper operation and assembly.
• Uses air tools and/or hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers for fitting or fastening operations on Assembly line.
• Works at different work stations as production needs require.
• Works on line where tasks vary as different model of same article moves along line.
• Verifies that all materials used match the Job Order and reports all needed corrections to their Lead Person.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear.  The employee is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25-50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus.
