Job Overview

Express Employment Professionals is seeking experienced Valve Technicians for immediate openings in Midland, TX. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience assembling, building, testing, and repairing industrial valves across a range of sizes. This is a high-hour opportunity with guaranteed 60+ hours per week for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, build, repair, and test industrial valves to manufacturer and industry specifications

• Inspect valve components for wear, damage, or defects and determine appropriate corrective action

• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble valves following standard procedures

• Perform pressure testing and quality checks on completed valve assemblies

• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used

• Follow all safety protocols and procedures in the shop and field environments

Required Valve Knowledge

Candidates must have verifiable hands-on experience with the following valve sizes and types:

• Valve sizes: 1/4”, 1/2”, 3/4”, 1”, 1-1/2”, 2”, 3”, 4”, 6”, 8”, 10”, 12”, and larger as required

• Gate valves, globe valves, ball valves, butterfly valves, and check valves

• Plug valves, needle valves, and pressure relief valves

• High-pressure and high-temperature valve assemblies

• Familiarity with API, ASME, and ANSI valve standards preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of verifiable valve technician experience — required

• Demonstrated ability to assemble and build valves from components

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work orders

• Proficient use of hand tools, power tools, and torque equipment

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a shop/field environment

• Reliable transportation and ability to work Monday – Saturday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $20.00 – $30.00+ per hour, depending on experience (DOE)

• 60+ hours guaranteed per week

• Schedule: Monday – Saturday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
