• Utilize 8 Step Problem Solving to achieve Annual Hoshin targets
• Lead, guide, and coach shop floor leadership through FMDS
• Identify improvement opportunities throughout the facility (manufacturing efficiency, materials and information flow, quality, standardized work, labor saving, bekido improvement, etc.) and lead improvement activities
• Lead line study and Jishuken activities – identify opportunities for improvement, create teams as necessary. Lead, monitor and participate in studies- facilitate follow up meetings to present areas of improvement
• Independently coordinate with Department Managers and Supervisors to identify improvement opportunities and lead efforts to implement and complete projects
• Must be able to prioritize and work on numerous projects simultaneously
• Kaizen Workshops/Problem Solving events- lead / coach Kaizen workshops- ability to take cross-functional teams through the 8 Steps of Problem Solving
• QC (Quality Control) Circle Team Facilitation/Mentoring- facilitate /coach QC teams- mentor and train QC teams & QC team leaders -team building exercises, 8 Steps of Problem Solving, and 7 Basic Quality tools
• Develop efficient ways to do kaizen in the facility and continuously improve its efficiency
• Implement and own TPS Assessment activities

 

ability to independently identify areas of improvement and lead actions. Highly approachable w/good interpersonal & leadership skills, organization, planning, & analytical problem-solving skills, basic and/or advanced knowledge of TPS, Microsoft Office.

Bachelor’s in industrial or mechanical engineering preferred or equivalent comb of edu & exp leading Kaizen/Lean improvement. Working knowledge of bearing warehousing process, QC Circle participation to completion required.
