Job Title: Optical Assembly Technician II

 

We are seeking an experienced Optical Assembly Technician II to perform advanced optical assembly and alignment in a clean room environment. This role requires precision work at the micron level, using specialized tools to ensure high-performance optical products meet strict quality standards.

 

Responsibilities:

• Perform active alignment of optical components into housings
• Use precision tools (autocollimators, alignment scopes, micrometers, etc.)
• Adjust and secure optics to meet tight tolerances
• Inspect components for defects and verify alignment accuracy
• Troubleshoot alignment and assembly issues independently
• Document measurements and support process improvements
• Follow clean room protocols and maintain high workmanship standards

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required; technical training in optics preferred
• 3–5 years of experience in optical assembly or precision alignment
• Experience working to micron-level tolerances
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a technical environment
