We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing diesel engines and various mechanical components in vehicles, machinery, and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of diesel engines, mechanical systems, and the ability to perform high-quality repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues.
• Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify and address potential problems.
• Component Replacement: Replace faulty or worn-out parts such as engines, transmissions, and other critical components.
• Testing: Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to test the performance of engines and systems.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and labor hours.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Emergency Repairs: Provide on-call support for emergency repairs and breakdowns as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; vocational training or certification in diesel mechanics preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic or in a related field.
• Skills:
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Certifications: ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification is a plus.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy parts and equipment, bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling.
