Express Employment Professionals of Longview is currently seeking an Assembler/Grinder for a major manufacturing company in Kilgore.

Duties & Tasks:

• Grind, polish, sand and sharpen welded parts to ensure conformance to established customer needs.
• Operate small electric/air hand tools.
• Handle assorted raw materials, steel parts, steel scrap, aluminum, and galvanized parts.
• Assist with weld kitting of parts
• Maintain work area and production equipment in clean and orderly condition.
• Perform work in a manner that all products conform to prescribed quality standards.
• Use and understand online ERP system for data collection, work instructions, routers, and prints.
• Participate in and support continuous process improvements.
• Other duties may be assigned that pertain to the classification.

PHYSICAL AND SOFT SKILL DEMANDS:

• Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and overhead work.
• Some exposure to fumes, glare, and radiation of arc.
• Occasionally required to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to recognize and meet schedule priorities
• Ability to complete work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognize the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice

• Starting pay $17/hr.
• Hours are Monday thru Friday 6am – 2:30pm
