Patient Intake Specialist

Located in Round Rock, TX

Salary: $24.00

A specialized and patient-centered healthcare organization is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Intake Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for new patients. This role is critical in creating a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive experience while ensuring accurate intake and coordination of patient information.

The ideal candidate is professional, organized, and committed to providing respectful, inclusive support to individuals from diverse backgrounds.

 

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8am – 4:30pm

Pay: $24.00 per hour

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for new patient inquiries via phone, email, and online submissions
• Provide a friendly, professional, and supportive experience for all patients
• Accurately enter and maintain patient information in electronic records systems
• Review patient-submitted materials and documentation for completeness
• Communicate next steps, timelines, and requirements clearly to patients
• Coordinate and schedule appointments based on provider availability
• Monitor patient onboarding progress and follow up on incomplete items
• Identify missing or inconsistent information and escalate when needed
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth and efficient intake process
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy standards

 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 2+ years of administrative, healthcare, or customer service experience
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working with diverse populations and providing inclusive, respectful service
