Job Summary: 

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking General Maintenance Assistant to support the upkeep and cleanliness of our food processing facility. This role involves both indoor and outdoor responsibilities, including pressure washing, general facility maintenance, and assisting with routine repairs. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in varying environments and weather conditions at multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Perform outdoor pressure washing of equipment, building exteriors, walkways, and production areas to maintain sanitation standards
• Assist with general maintenance tasks inside the facility, including minor repairs, upkeep, and preventative maintenance
• Support maintenance technicians with equipment inspections and basic troubleshooting of machines
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance tools and work areas
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and safety protocols (GMP, OSHA, etc.)
• Identify and report maintenance issues, hazards, or equipment malfunctions
• Assist with facility upkeep such as basic mechanical tasks
• Dispose of waste materials properly and maintain compliance with environmental standards

Qualifications: 

• Maintenance facility support is a plus
• Experience with pressure washing equipment is a plus
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
• Basic knowledge of schematics and blueprints
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
• Mechanically Inclined
• Trade Certification or Vocational is a plus
• Must be able to multitask throughout the day based on business needs

Physical Requirements: 

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods

Work Environment: 

• Combination of indoor food production areas and outdoor facility grounds
• Exposure to water, cleaning chemicals, and loud equipment
• Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
