Express Employment of Longview is now hiring a Counter Sales/Warehouse position at an electrical supply company to act as the primary, face-to-face contact for contractors and customers, while also managing inventory, order fulfillment, and warehouse organization. This dual-role position requires a combination of technical product knowledge, sales expertise, and physical labor.

Core Responsibilities
Counter Sales & Customer Service
• Process Customer Orders: Handle walk-in, phone, and email orders promptly and accurately, utilizing the company's POS/ERP system.
• Provide Technical Support: Assist customers with product selection, offer technical specifications, and recommend alternative items or upgrades.
• Maintain Sales Area: Keep the showroom and counter area clean, organized, and properly stocked with promotional materials.
• Build Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with electrical contractors, vendor representatives, and internal team members.

Warehouse & Operations
• Receive & Stock Material: Unload, inspect, and verify incoming inventory against packing slips.
• Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for customer pickup or local delivery.
• Inventory Management: Perform stock checks, maintain organized inventory locations, and manage inventory rotation (FIFO).
• Safety & Maintenance: Operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, wire-cutting machines) safely and maintain a clean work environment.

Required Qualifications & Skills
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with experience in electrical distribution or a related field preferred.
• Product Knowledge: Familiarity with electrical materials such as conduit, wire, lighting, switchgear, and controls is highly desired.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with POS systems, computers, and Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
• Valid Driver's License: No moving violations in the past 3 years.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, active listening, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs frequently and stand/walk for long periods.

Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience in electrical wholesale or retail.
