Position: Parts Coordinator & Inventory Specialist (Temp-to-Perm)

Shift: 7:00am - 4:00pm Monday-Friday

Pay: $18/hr

Position Summary

The Parts Specialist & Inventory Coordinator is responsible for managing parts inventory, sourcing and ordering components, and ensuring accurate tracking of all materials. This role supports daily operations by maintaining optimal inventory levels, minimizing downtime, and ensuring technicians have the parts they need when they need them.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels of parts and supplies
• Receive, inspect, and stock incoming shipments
• Track inventory using software systems and perform regular audits/cycle counts
• Source and order parts from vendors while ensuring cost efficiency and timely delivery
• Coordinate with technicians and service teams to fulfill parts requests
• Maintain organized storage areas for quick and efficient access
• Monitor usage trends and forecast inventory needs
• Handle returns, warranty claims, and defective parts
• Ensure proper documentation of all inventory transactions
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing when appropriate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred)
• 1–3 years experience in parts, inventory, warehouse, or related role
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Experience with inventory management software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
• Basic computer skills (Excel, email, data entry)
• Ability to lift and move parts/materials as needed
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of automotive, truck, or equipment parts (depending on industry)
• Vendor negotiation and purchasing experience
• Problem-solving and multitasking ability
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
