CNC Machinist / Programmer

Salary: $20.00 – $25.00/hour

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a CNC Machinist / Programmer for a growing manufacturing company in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area. This role offers a great mix of programming, setup, and hands-on machining in a team-oriented environment.

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00/hour (Based on Experience)
Schedule: 1st Shift | Flexible Start Time (6:00 AM – 8:30 AM)

What You’ll Do:

• Machine production parts and perform maintenance machining on molds
• Program, edit, and optimize CNC programs for prototype and production parts
• Design, build, and repair tooling, fixtures, and special projects
• Set up parts, tooling, and fixtures; perform offsets and adjustments
• Support production needs and maintain appropriate inventory levels
• Improve efficiency by optimizing machining processes and cycle times
• Ensure quality standards are met through program adjustments and inspections
• Track and maintain inventory within internal systems
• Perform basic machine and area maintenance
• Keep work area clean, organized, and safe

What We’re Looking For:

• Working knowledge of G & M codes
• Experience with Fanuc and/or HAAS controls
• Ability to independently set up machines, tooling, and fixtures
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts
• Ability to troubleshoot and improve machining processes
• Good communication and teamwork skills
