Material Handler

Located in Chino, CA

Salary: $17.50 to $18 DOE

General Description

The Material Handler is responsible for loading/unloading merchandise, order assembly, shipping preparation,
inventory management, and maintaining equipment, requiring physical stamina and attention to detail.

• Load and unload merchandise using pallet jacks and forklifts
• Pick and assemble customer orders
• Prepare products for shipment
• Complete shipping paperwork and labels
• Perform receiving check-in procedures
• Perform warehouse material handling, organizing, and storage duties
• Conduct daily cycle counts and year-end physical inventory count
• Re-package materials as necessary
• Routine equipment checks and light maintenance
• Miscellaneous maintenance duties

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED equivalent
• Ability to lift, carry and stack bags up to 50 pounds repetitively
• Ability to safely maneuver and position drums weighing up to 400 lbs. using appropriate
equipment
• Ability to stand and walk for approximately 60–70% of the workday.
• Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English
• Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain certification through onsite training)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to perform accurate inventory cycle counts and order fulfillment
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
• Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to print product labels and related documents
