Position: Counter Sales / Warehouse Associate
Location: Marietta
Pay: $19 - $20/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Requirements:

• MUST have steel-toed shoes

• 1–2 years of experience in a similar position is optimal
• Building Materials industry experience is a plus
• Strong customer service, problem solving, and project management skills
• Team-oriented with the ability to show initiative
• Strong sense of drive and creativity
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• AS400 experience is a plus
• High School diploma required; some college courses preferred

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to lift 50–60 lbs.
• Working with a lot of paint
• Weekly responsibility of dumping old paint barrels (50–60+ lbs.)
• Must be comfortable working around paint and paint fumes

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a flexible Counter Sales Associate to join their team. This environment is conservative, and they are looking for someone with a great, outgoing personality who can stay productive during slower periods at the counter.

The ideal candidate will be somewhat proficient with computers and will specifically be working within AS400. An eye for design and/or prior experience with home improvement retailers (such as Home Depot or similar) is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls from customers placing orders and provide sales quotes
• Work closely alongside outside sales representatives on customer orders and quotes
• Assist customers in the showroom with questions and order placement
• Solicit new or complementary sales via phone and face-to-face interactions in the showroom
• Research product solutions to assist customers with field project issues
• Restock the showroom and perform cycle counts as required
