Machine Operator - 1st shift

Located in Riverside, CA

Salary: DOE

•    Sets up and operates CNC milling machines, to machine metallic work pieces according to specifications, tooling instructions, and traveler.
•    Multitasking ability to maintain operating 2 machines or more at a time
•    Reads and interprets engineering specifications and shop orders to determine machine setup, production methods, and sequence of operation.
•    Applies knowledge of machining methods: Reads traveler for product specifications, such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions, such as fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cut, and determines sequence of operations.
•    Review Job Traveler to analyze all required steps to ensure all production procedures are followed.
•    Selects, positions, and secures dies, blades, cutters, and fixtures onto machine, using rule, square, shims, templates, hand tools, and built-in gauges.
•    Positions and clamps stops, guides, and turntables.
•    Moves controls to position tool and workpiece in relation to each other, and to set specified feeds, speeds, and depth of cut.
•    Turns valve handle to direct flow of coolant or cutting oil against tool and workpiece.
•    Positions work piece against stops and guides or aligns layout marks with dies or cutting blades manually or using hoist.

REQUIREMENTS: 

•    2-5 years of CNC machine operating experience required 
•    High School Graduate or equivalent preferred

 

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES MIGHT HAVE:

•    Strong knowledge and experience with Fanuc and Haas controls
•    5 axis setup 1-2 years, and use of TCC
•    Knowledge of Mold making 2 years experience a plus
•    Mastercam programming experience a plus
•    Mold Polishing Experience a plus
