We are looking for a dependable, safety‑focused Used Auto Parts Dismantler for one of our clients. In this role, you will remove, inspect, and prepare automotive parts from salvage vehicles for resale. You’ll work in a fast‑paced yard environment using hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical knowledge to efficiently pull high‑quality parts while maintaining strict safety and organization standards.
Dismantle vehicles and remove usable parts (engines, transmissions, doors, alternators, starters, etc.)
Safely operate hand tools and power tools (impacts, sawzall, grinders, torches when applicable)
Identify parts accurately by make, model, year, and engine type
Inspect removed parts for damage, wear, and overall condition
Tag, label, and route parts for cleaning, inventory, or shipping
Drain fluids and follow environmental and safety guidelines for proper disposal
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Follow yard procedures for vehicle handling and tool use
Assist with loading/unloading parts and vehicles as needed
Collaborate with the team to meet daily productivity goals
Basic automotive mechanical knowledge (understanding how parts work and how to remove them)
Ability to confidently use hand tools and power tools
Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and stand for extended periods
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Must provide your own basic hand tools (wrenches, sockets, ratchets, screwdrivers, etc.)
Experience in a salvage yard, auto repair shop, or parts‑pulling environment
Forklift experience or certification
Familiarity with inventory systems or part‑tagging procedures
Ability to operate loaders, hoists, or shop equipment
Valid driver’s license
Outdoor and shop‑based work in a salvage yard setting
Exposure to dirt, grease, noise, weather, and heavy equipment
PPE required (gloves, safety glasses, steel‑toe boots, etc.)
Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting
Ability to lift and move 50–75 lbs (heavier items with assistance)
Ability to work safely around vehicles, equipment, and tools
Full‑time: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM (occasional Saturdays)
