We are looking for a dependable, safety‑focused Used Auto Parts Dismantler for one of our clients. In this role, you will remove, inspect, and prepare automotive parts from salvage vehicles for resale. You’ll work in a fast‑paced yard environment using hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical knowledge to efficiently pull high‑quality parts while maintaining strict safety and organization standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Dismantle vehicles and remove usable parts (engines, transmissions, doors, alternators, starters, etc.)

• Safely operate hand tools and power tools (impacts, sawzall, grinders, torches when applicable)

• Identify parts accurately by make, model, year, and engine type

• Inspect removed parts for damage, wear, and overall condition

• Tag, label, and route parts for cleaning, inventory, or shipping

• Drain fluids and follow environmental and safety guidelines for proper disposal

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

• Follow yard procedures for vehicle handling and tool use

• Assist with loading/unloading parts and vehicles as needed

• Collaborate with the team to meet daily productivity goals

Required Qualifications

• Basic automotive mechanical knowledge (understanding how parts work and how to remove them)

• Ability to confidently use hand tools and power tools

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and stand for extended periods

• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently

• Must provide your own basic hand tools (wrenches, sockets, ratchets, screwdrivers, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a salvage yard, auto repair shop, or parts‑pulling environment

• Forklift experience or certification

• Familiarity with inventory systems or part‑tagging procedures

• Ability to operate loaders, hoists, or shop equipment

• Valid driver’s license

Work Environment

• Outdoor and shop‑based work in a salvage yard setting

• Exposure to dirt, grease, noise, weather, and heavy equipment

• PPE required (gloves, safety glasses, steel‑toe boots, etc.)

Physical Requirements

• Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting

• Ability to lift and move 50–75 lbs (heavier items with assistance)

• Ability to work safely around vehicles, equipment, and tools

Schedule & Compensation

• Full‑time: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM (occasional Saturdays)

• Competitive pay based on experience
