Cleaning Line Technician (Laboratory)

Rate: $18 /HR

Term: Contract Temp - Perm

Location: Torrance  

Cleaning Line Technician is responsible for one or more fundamental aspects of the cleaning process of glass and optical components. Potential tasks may include: loading, cleaning, maintenance and care of tooling, and inspection of glass and optical components. The nature of all production positions is repetitive motions for extended periods of time.

Essential Duties and Functions: 

•      Follow customer specifications and requirements as specified on the route sheet.

•      Perform tasks such as unwrapping, wrapping, cleaning, etc. within the allotted time.

•      Adjust for all standard type parts.

•      Cut kapton plastics and shields for parts.

•      Wash and clean glass correctly.

•      Make sure all tooling to be used is in good working order (clean, not bent, correct rails, etc.).

•      Clean and foil machines as required.

•      Follow priorities given by manager.

•      Identify nonconforming products and inform manager.

•      Complete documentation properly and neatly.

•      Understand the production schedule for the next day.

•      Make suggestions for improvements as necessary.

•      Help organize various departments to work efficiently to get the work processed out and to the customer.

•      Follow good work ethics and ensure that all procedures are followed.

•      Unwrap parts

•      Wash large optics

•      Wash monitor chips

•      Adjust tooling

•      Add shields to parts

•      Inspect to 80/50 and 60/40

•      Final wipe parts

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

•      Ability to work in a clean room environment

•      Ability to work independently or on a team

•      Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks and required documentation

•      Good oral and written communication skills

Other Responsibilities:

•      Keep area clean at all times.

•      You are responsible for the care of the tooling that is used for operations.

•      Must be reliable, dependable, and punctual.

•      Be available for overtime requirements.

•      Be willing to help in any other area.

•      It is your responsibility to inform management or your trainer of tasks you may not be sufficiently trained to do.
