We are seeking an experienced Accountant or Bookkeeper with MIP system experience to support a high-priority audit project. This role will focus on reconciling multiple years of financial data and working directly with leadership and an external auditor to bring accounts up to date.

This is a critical project that was expected to be completed last year and requires someone who can step in confidently and work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reconcile up to three years of financial records
• Work directly with an external auditor to prepare and adjust records
• Pull financial reports from the MIP system
• Make journal entries and adjustments as needed
• Reconcile accounts payable
• Assist leadership in navigating and utilizing the MIP system

Schedule:

• Initial schedule: Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Flexible based on workload and progress
• Opportunity to increase up to 40 hours/week for the right candidate

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping
• Hands-on experience with MIP Fund Accounting system (required)
• Strong understanding of reconciliations, journal entries, and audit preparation
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Comfortable stepping into incomplete or complex financials

Additional Details:

• Temporary role with several years of financials to reconcile
• Previous contractor worked on this project for a year without completion—efficiency and accuracy are critical
• Potential for extended hours based on performance and project needs
