Box Truck Driver – Local Shuttle Between Two Buildings

Job Summary

This is a physical, hands-on route position responsible for transporting materials between two facilities using a 24 ft. box truck. The role includes loading, securing, transporting, and unloading freight while maintaining strong communication with dispatch and customers.

Essential Job Duties

• Assist with loading the box truck using a manual pallet jack; must be able to push/pull 300–600 lbs.

• Strap down and secure all freight to ensure safe transport.

• Verify that all required items are loaded prior to departure.

• Safely operate a 24 ft. box truck, following all road rules and company safety procedures.

• Unload freight at the client site; notify the customer if any item exceeds 600 lbs so their team can assist with forklifts or powered equipment.

• Use a smartphone to:

  • Access and review orders

  • Receive job directions

  • Communicate with dispatch and customers

• Maintain professionalism and accuracy when handling freight and documentation.

Dress Code

• Jeans or durable work pants (Carhartt, Dickies, etc.)

• T-shirt, long sleeve, or sweatshirt

• Work boots preferred (steel toe not required)

• Javelin-branded shirt provided

Timekeeping

• Clock in/out using SimpleVMS on the iPad at Javelin.

• Hours are submitted weekly to Express.

• Pay is issued every Friday.
