Set Up Technician
Location: Rancho Cordova, CA
Full Time , Long Term 
Schedule: Monday - Friday 
Compensation Range: 21.00-23/hour DOE
 
We are seeking a Set Up Technician to join our growing team! This role is ideal for both entry-level and experienced mechanics who are ready to work in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. The primary focus of this position is assembling and preparing incoming equipment orders, ensuring everything is ready for delivery and meets quality standards.
 
Our work includes setting up equipment powered by diesel, gasoline, hybrids, and electric motors. No need to bring your own tools—tools will be provided, maintained, and replaced as needed.
 
We’re looking for someone who can represent our company professionally when interacting with customers, co-workers, vendors, and management. Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn are key to success in this role.
Qualifications:
  • Background in mechanics preferred, but not required
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to accept and apply training
  • Desire to meet and exceed goals

  • Willingness to develop and grow professionally
  • Strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Essential Functions:
  • Assemble and set up new equipment according to vendor specifications
  • Complete all required forms, paperwork, and administrative duties accurately and on time (parts orders, labor logs, electronic timekeeping, etc.)
  • Operate a lift truck (certification provided) to move equipment as needed
  • Build knowledge to complete set-ups within vendor timeframes
  • Diagnose and repair equipment when needed
  • Maintain a professional demeanor with all stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the Lead Set Up Technician and Service Manager
  • Maintain certifications and participate in ongoing training
  • Follow all applicable safety guidelines and regulations
