Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable Material Handler to support warehouse and production operations at a food manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for the accurate movement, tracking, and storage of inventory throughout the warehouse, production, freezer, and packaging areas. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and experienced operating warehouse equipment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, issue, and ship materials accurately using manual entry and scanning systems
  • Transport raw materials and finished goods between production, packaging, freezer, cooler, and storage areas
  • Perform inventory counts and report shortages or discrepancies
  • Complete shipping and receiving documentation, including Bills of Lading
  • Unload inbound shipments and store products in designated locations
  • Deliver packaging materials and empty pallets to production lines
  • Wrap and stage pallets according to company guidelines
  • Operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all safety policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and food safety standards
  • Assist with production and warehouse tasks during downtime
  • Willingness to be cross-trained and support other operational areas as needed

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
  • Ability to work in cold storage, warehouse, and production environments
  • Availability to work extended hours, weekends, or irregular schedules during peak seasons

  • Standard warehouse and office equipment

Qualifications

Required

  • Forklift experience
  • Basic understanding of inventory control practices
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform basic math and material tracking

Preferred

  • Warehouse or manufacturing experience
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills a plus
