Job Title: Production Foreman – Circuit Board Manufacturing

Position Summary

The Production Foreman oversees daily operations within the circuit board (PCB) manufacturing department. This role is responsible for supervising production teams, ensuring quality standards, maintaining safety compliance, and meeting production targets in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of production operators, assemblers, and technicians on the PCB line
  • Ensure all circuit board assembly processes (soldering, SMT, through-hole, inspection, testing) meet quality standards
  • Monitor production schedules and ensure on-time completion of manufacturing orders
  • Enforce safety procedures and OSHA compliance across the production floor
  • Train, coach, and evaluate team members to improve performance and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot production issues and escalate equipment or technical problems as needed
  • Review work orders, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate assembly
  • Coordinate with engineering, quality control, and supply chain teams
  • Track production metrics including yield, scrap rates, downtime, and throughput
  • Maintain proper documentation for production reports and quality records

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, or related field
  • 1–3 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of circuit board assembly processes (SMT, soldering, rework, inspection)
  • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions
  • Knowledge of quality control standards (IPC-A-610 or similar preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Familiarity with manufacturing systems (ERP/MRP systems a plus)
  • Excellent communication and team leadership abilities

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lift up to 30–50 lbs as needed
  • Exposure to production equipment, soldering tools, and electronic components
  • Use of PPE (safety glasses, gloves, ESD protection)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
  • Background in electronics, electrical engineering, or industrial technology
  • Prior experience in a high-volume PCB production environment
