Paint Shop worker

Located in Ventura, CA

Position: Painter / Finish Painter (Entry to Skilled Level)
Location: Ventura County Area
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Overtime Available)
Pay: $20–$40/hr (DOE)

Job Summary:
A growing industrial employer is seeking Painters ranging from entry-level to highly skilled finish painters to support surface preparation and coating work on a variety of projects, including marine and boat-related work. This role is open to candidates with basic painting experience as well as those with advanced yacht or boat finishing backgrounds. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with hand and power tools in a hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform surface preparation including sanding, grinding, and masking
• Apply paint and coatings to a variety of surfaces and structures
• Support both basic painting and high-end finish work depending on skill level
• Work on marine-related projects, including boats and vessel components
• Ensure proper surface prep and quality finish standards are met
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines

Qualifications:
• Any painting experience required (residential, industrial, automotive, or personal projects)
• Higher-level candidates should have experience with boat or yacht finishing work
• Must be comfortable using grinders and sanders
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn or refine skills
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
